Feast of Trumpets
And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his
elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Joel 2:15-16:
Blow the trumpet in Zion; consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly; gather the people. Consecrate the congregation; assemble the elders; gather the children, even nursing infants. Let the bridegroom leave his room, and the bride her chamber.
Leviticus 23:23-25
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall present a food offering to the Lord.”
On Yom Teruah will be highlighting Biblical eschatology. We learned about the fulfillment of Yahshua's first coming, that happened on the appointed days of the four Spring Feasts days. Now, we will look at the revelations tied to the fall biblical feast days that are a shadow of Yahshua's second coming and end times prophecy.
Yom Turauh is the ONLY feast day that is appointed to the first of the month, when the moon is dark! The other feast days, the pilgrimage feast days to be exact (when they were commanded to travel to Jerusalem for the feast) are held in the middle of the months when the moon is full. They traveled by night and would have the light of the moon; this is by our Elohim’s perfect design. Prophecy of our Lords return says in Mattew 24:29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light... Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man…”
Traditionally, two ordained witnesses declare the new moon/month. This is to be announced by Priests from Jerusalem. They check the moon at sunset, (which is the beginning of the day) and decide if they have to wait another day or not for the new moon. So, the appointed time of Trumpets is unknown until we can identify and announce the first day of the seventh month. THEREFORE, this resembles Mattew 24 that says, we will not know the day or hour of Yeshua’s return. Matt 25:13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”
1 Thessalonians 5:1-8 Now concerning the times and seasons, brothers and sisters, you have no need for anything to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. 3 When they are saying, “Shalom and safety,” sudden destruction comes upon them like a woman having birth pains in the womb—there is no way they will escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 5 For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. 6 So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
